Double bassist, composer and arranger, Dôdo Ferreira brings to his Jam Sessions and happy-hours o atmosphere of his shows, where creativity and good humor alternate with moments of extreme musical delicacy, permeated with jazz, blues, samba, toada, frevo e bossa nova. The principal characteristic of the trio is its apprciation of the magical attitude of making music; “invention” and “complicity” are the key words of their performances.
 In their repertory, besides original compositions by the bassist (such as ‘Débora Blues’, ‘Cradle Song’ e ‘José no Tempo Lógico’, present in their two solo CDs – ‘Farofablues’, Leblon Records 1993, e ‘Dum-Dum’, Delira Música 2007), musics of their next CD (‘Ribombante Alternativo’), standards of Brazilian music and American classics, with versions of songs by Tom Jobim, João Donato, Chico Buarque, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Lennon-McCartney etc.

 
DÔDO FERREIRA
Ex-student of Czech Rudolf Kroupa (concert master of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra), the double bassist, composer and arranger Dôdo Ferreira’s trademark is his versatility and good humor. He has played extensively both in Brazil and in the exterior, working with many of the most famous names in Brazilian and American music such as Paulo Moura, Roberto Menescal, B.B. King, and Marcelo D2, among others.

 
 
 
 
 
JOÃO CORTEZ
Formerly an integral part of Modo Livre, the group that accompanied Ivan Lins and Gonzaguinha in the 70s, and master of a vast repertoire of services offered to MBP (Brazilian popular music). With his personal style, extreme and replete with subtleties, he has played at the side of names such as Joe Carter, Roberto Menescal, Wanda Sá, and many others.



 
ADRIANO SOUZA
Graduate in harmony and perception from CIGAM (Centro Ian Guest de Aperfeiçoamento Musical). Studied piano with Rafael Vernet, Sônia Maria Vieira e Linda Bustani. He has recorded several CDs both with Xekerê, a group he founded, as well as on his own and working with other famous Brazilian musicians. He has played in Germany, Sweden and Austria, has played with the Rio Jazz Orchestra, and worked with many popular names of MPB.
